Turning on two-factor authentication
Add an authenticator app so a password alone is not enough.
- Sign in and open the Security page.
- Choose to set up authenticator-app MFA.
- Scan the code with an authenticator app and enter the six-digit number it shows.
From then on, signing in asks for a code from the app as well as your password. Worth doing if your account holds events you cannot afford to lose access to.
Keep the authenticator app backed up. Losing the device it is on makes signing in much harder.
